https://perimeterinstitute.ca/jobs/tenure-track-faculty-position-particle-physics Perimeter Institute invites applications for a tenure track faculty position (equivalent to the level of assistant professor) in theoretical particle physics. Exceptional candidates may also be considered for a tenured senior faculty position. While we welcome applicants from all aspects of particle physics, we are especially interested in individuals who work on any aspect of beyond-the-standard-model. The successful applicant will play a leading role in the growth of Perimeter's particle theory efforts, and in integrating these activities with other related research areas such as quantum fields and strings, strong gravity, cosmology, and astrophysics. Perimeter Institute is a leading global centre for fundamental research in theoretical physics. It is home to world-class research efforts in cosmology, mathematical physics, particle physics, quantum fields and strings, quantum foundations, quantum gravity, quantum information, quantum matter, and strong gravity. The Institute offers an exceptional research environment with 26 Faculty (including eight Perimeter Research Chairs), 22 Associate Faculty (including one Perimeter Research Chair), 57 Postdoctoral Fellows, 38 Distinguished Visiting Research Chairs, and 52 Visiting Fellows. The Institute’s very active visitor, seminar, conference, and workshop programs attract over 1,000 visitors each year. View the list of Perimeter researchers in particle physics. The successful candidate will have a PhD in theoretical physics or a closely related field, postdoctoral experience, and will have demonstrated exceptional strength in independent research. Interested candidates should submit their application online, including their curriculum vitae, list of publications, and research statement. Perimeter welcomes colleagues with the experiences and competencies that can contribute to our principles of inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility (IDEA). Hence, in the application, candidates should include a statement describing their experience and plans for creating/advancing a culture of equity and inclusion within their discipline. They must also arrange to have at least three letters of recommendation submitted, following the instructions provided on the application page. Consideration of applications will begin on December 17, 2021. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
